Biography
Jenya Mironov is a fourth-generation photographer, born in Russia, raised in Israel, and creatively cultivated in New York. He began his artistic journey through music - studying clarinet, producing music, and eventually shifting his focus to photography after years of feeling an unexplained pull toward the medium. His instinct gained clarity when he discovered his great-great-grandfather, Abraham Noah Benditskiy, was both a conductor and an internationally exhibited photographer in early 20th-century Ukraine. Jenya also learned that his grandfather was a photojournalist, and his great-grandmother began her WWII diary with the line, “Before the war, I was a photo retoucher.” He soon realized photography wasn’t just a profession - it was in his blood.
Today, his work reflects that heritage, guided by a belief in capturing moments as they are: never staged, never forced. His portfolio spans events, portraits, fashion, and street photography with clients including Adidas, Amazon, Interscope Records, Lenovo, Reebok, Almave, and more. He has photographed prominent artists such as A$AP Rocky, Sydney Sweeney, Chris Appleton, Burna Boy, Peggy Gou, and JID. Whether shooting a campaign or an intimate portrait, Jenya approaches every project with a collaborative mindset, aiming to understand your vision and bring it to life.

From the Benditskiy family archive, dating to early twentieth century Ukraine.
Three generations were in this trade before me: my ancestor Abraham Noah Benditskiy, four generations back, conducted orchestras in early twentieth century Ukraine and exhibited his photographs internationally, and my grandfather worked as a photojournalist.
The mother of my grandfather opened her diary of the Second World War with her trade rather than her name:
Before the war, I was a photo retoucher.
I came to it sideways, by way of a clarinet and years of producing music, which turned out to be training in timing either way. Photography was never only a profession in my family: it was in the blood.
