NYC portrait sessions, directed step by step, no experience needed

Jenya Mironov photographs cinematic portraits and personal branding sessions in New York City, in studio on black and on the street at golden hour. A session delivers 10 to 12 fully retouched images and is directed the whole way, from where to stand to what to do with your hands. Wardrobe is planned in advance: send a board of looks you like and we pick the outfits that suit the location and the light. Founders, artists, musicians, and performers make up most of the work. Sessions are quoted per project, not hourly.

Before you book

Every question, answered

Yes. I will guide you through the process step by step, from where to stand to what to do with your hands. Most people relax within the first few minutes once they see the back of the camera.

Create a Pinterest board of looks you like and send it over before the session. We will talk it through and pick outfits that work with the location and the light. Bring options.

A retouched portrait session delivers around 10 to 12 images. An event is a different scale: you get 80+ edited images, and more for coverage lasting a full day or spanning multiple rooms.
