A projected KILLER wordmark filled the wall behind the DJ booth at The Killer Agency’s New York City nightlife event in September 2024. Jenya photographed the booth and branding before the room filled, then shifted to the DJs, guests and dance floor. Red light on a white surface risked flattening texture and pushing faces toward the same tone. Jenya exposed for the projection and added enough controlled light to hold expressions as the dance floor became dark and crowded. JPX Studios delivered a gallery of 262 frames, including views of the room, DJs working the Pioneer decks, details of hands and equipment, and guest portraits against the projected logo.
JPX Studios first recorded the booth and wall before the room filled, then shifted to the people using those elements. Red light on a white surface can erase texture and push every face toward the same tone, so Jenya exposed for the projection and added only enough controlled light to hold expressions. From the side of the booth, the wordmark could sit behind the DJ; from the floor, it became a graphic background for portraits and crowd frames.
The final sequence balances branding with the pace of the night. Establishing photographs show the full environment, tighter images keep hands and equipment in view, and portraits place guests inside the visual identity rather than in front of an unrelated backdrop. That gives The Killer Agency an event record that still reads clearly when a single image is separated from the full gallery.
