The Dinner Table
Projected light kept changing the color of food and faces during The Dinner Table’s dinner at Lume Studios in Tribeca, Manhattan, in January 2024. Jenya timed photographs for moments when the projections complemented each subject, working from quiet camera positions to avoid interrupting dining and live music. Photography began with the dressed tables and projected room before seating, then followed courses, wine pours, conversations, and performances by a cellist and an opera singer. Jenya also filmed the dinner for a recap. JPX Studios delivered a gallery of 159 frames and a recap film. The gallery brings together culinary details, wide table views, performance photographs, and guest images in a sequence following the evening.
